Reincarnated Nature by Ang Wen Jie

Although they appear to be scenes from a hiker exploring eerily quiet expanses of white, Reincarnated Nature is a playfully surreal depiction of said landscape using repurposed plastic bags and a study lamp. The overall effect is pretty mind-blowing, don’t you think.

“The plastic helps to create undefined forms of a cave or a mountain,” Ang Wen Jie explains. “I make use of the hiker’s silhouette to make it visually more interesting and to create more impact.”

Ang Wen Jie is currently studying Motion Graphics & Broadcast Design at Nanyang Polytechnic, and the featured series will be showcased during FUSION 2016 from 31 March until 2 April at the Nanyang Polytechnic Atrium.
