Suppressed by Nurhaziqah Binte Ismail

Nur Haziqah, a soon-to-be Nanyang Polytechnic graduate in Motion Graphic & Broadcast Design, caught our eye with her Suppressed photography series, in which she depicts the idea of having our inner child being pushed away by adulthood.

About her project: “it is also about how we must then have responsibilities on our shoulders. We all have our inner child and it is hard for us to be able to relieve those childish moments when we grow up. If you feel disturbed and uncomfortable by looking at these photos, I guess you would feel how sad and dark it is to have to control our creative and free minds as adults.”

Nur Haziqah’s work will be on display at the graduation show which opens on March 31 and runs until 2 April at Nanyang Polytechnic.
