Listen to Lost Weekend’s debut

Artwork by fFurious.

Lost Weekend are Rachel (vocals, guitar), Arif (guitar), Mark (bass) and ZJ (drums ), and earlier this month they launched their debut album at the SingJazz Club.

(from the press release)

“So much of modern living is about hiding your anxieties. Dressing up their tales of alienation and longing behind a wall of modern, classy guitar pop, Lost Weekend’s songs are a catalogue of urban regret: time passing too quickly; fumbling for the right words; relationships breaking down. Sometimes they’re summery and wistful, at others, they’re bitter and savage – but always delivered with sultry conviction. Listening to Lost Weekend is to hold up a looking-glass to your own observations about the world, trying to make it through each superficial day and lonely night, wondering if there isn’t something more. This is music for small lives living in a big crowded city. These are dull aches smothered by luscious laments. This is Lost Weekend, and it never felt so good to be so unsure.”

You can download the album from bandcamp. Enjoy!
