Spotted! Dawn Ang

Freelance illustrator, graphic designer and self-confessed yoga fanatic Dawn Ang has been wowing us with her extremely intricate hand drawn works.

“There’s magic in making ideas come to life doing what you’re passionate about. I draw, a lot. I enjoy the process; the initial burst of vigor when starting a new project, the burning need to put everything down before it disappears, the occasional pain or fear when a piece is nearing its end. It’s an ever-changing thing, almost alive. I enjoy nature, am fascinated by the idea of ‘memories’ and the ubiquitous Unknown. Sometimes these things manifest in my drawings and papercuts, and I take it all in as I go along.”

Dawn Ang is one of the 25 local and international artists featured in Kult‘s Chinatown Vinyl Squad exhibition at 醉红楼 which will start on 29 March and run for a month. You can enjoy more of her art here.
