The Cult of Nine debuts Forget Me Not

We caught an early glimpse of The Cult of Nine‘s lookbook for its debut collection called “Forget Me Not”. Designer duo, Shawn Tan and Rachel Tan, has been going strong with their Unbranded hand screen printed T-shirts, and with the insurgence of Forget Me Not, it seems like the label is stepping up its game.

Forget Me Not is an anthem of the youth, representing the experimental, rebellious and nonconforming attitude they possess,” the duo explains. “The collection is a look back to our fearless teenage years and a translation of our visions and beliefs then. The gender-neutral limited pieces are individually hand-made, reconstructed and hand finished, retaining that DIY punk sensibility.”

Having majored in Fashion Communication from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2009, The Cult of Nine has been their constant creative process and outlet for fashion, design and photography. “Grounded in underground subcultural movements, the label is an expression of our influences, ideologies and DIY punk beliefs; retaliating against the ideals of mass production and commercial conformity.”

The Cult of Nine will be sold exclusively at Blackmarket No.2  for the month of April.
