Spotted! Noc Vvyne Lim

Noc Vvyne Lim received formal training in Western Painting from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.

Inspired by the aesthetics of Surrealism, Expressionism and Fine Art Illustrations, she sees the sublime in the complex spectrum of human emotions, and seeks to recreate them as visual fiction.

“The featured works are four out of nine 12×16 canvases in the series Literally Paintings, based on short stories by Japanese Avant Garde writer Yukio Mishima. I wanted to make a poem out of my life” – Mishima (1925 – 1970).”

Noc’s works will be showcased at Art Garage: Art The Hall at the Arts House from 24 to 26 November.
