Drawing King Tournament

Do artists still know how to draw these days? Drawing King is a drawing tournament to resurrect this lost art form. Two Overhead Projectors placed side by side form the canvas and arena in which eight artists and illustrators take turns to “draw-off” in quick-fire 1-vs-1 matches.

The participating warriors are:

eeshaun (Soh Ee Shaun)
Dyn (Safaruddin Bin Abdul Hamid)
Zhao Renhui
Teng Yen Lin
Darel Seow
Lim Qi Xuan
Richie Chen
Sherylene Chew

To celebrate the lost art of drawing, Evil Empire has cheekily created a 2.2m long Giant Pencil as the tournament prize.

Come prepared with your loudest cheers to determine the Drawing King -the one to lift the 2-metre-long Giant Pencil-  at the live showdown on 23 July, between 7 – 10pm at Evil Empire, 48 Niven Road.

What happens after the tournament?

Works created will be exhibited from 26 through 30 July, 2-8 pm.

On 31 July at 4pm, you will be the ones competing for the works at the Drawing King Auction.  For just S$30, you will receive 3000 Evil Dollars (E$3000). The auction will be conducted by a special guest auctioneer. Limited to 30 spaces.
