JJ graduated from Temasek Polytechnic, School of Design with a diploma in Visual Communication. More known for his work in Branding Design, JJ started Bits&Bitez as a need to create for pleasure.

“As I am a playful person by heart, my illustrations aim to inject quirky personalities to seemingly ordinary things in everyday life making them “extra” ordinary,” says JJ of his work. “Right now, it seems that food is the subject of choice because it holds a special place in everyone’s heart. It is certainly joyful to see people break into a smile when they discover something like food can become something weird and whimsical.

I still have yet to settle on a personal style, simply because there are just so many art styles to explore. Even more so with the availability of traditional and digital mediums. The possibilities are endless and it is too soon to limit yourself to one style.

At the end of the day, I strive to make the most of my free time, pushing my boundaries in design. As scary as it is, it also makes the adventure thrilling!”
