We first came across Kessie Zheng’s work when she created a poster for Cartoons Underground. We snooped on her instagram account and found some very pleasing portrait illustrations.

“I graduated from Temasek Polytechnic, School of Design with a diploma in Visual Communication and specialised in Illustration. My fascination with human behaviour led me to create portraits where my subjects are caught in the midst of their most intimate and vulnerable moments of tears, elation and contemplation. My subjects are often figments of my imagination but sometimes I draw real human beings as well. This year, I was invited to Taipei as a guest portrait illustrator by my friend, photographer Crystal Pan, as part of her exhibition. I also drew portraits alongside other talented artists from the Organisation of Illustrators Council (OIC), for Cartoons Underground at Kult Kafe.”
