Age by Ronald Ang

Ronald Ang describes his Age series as “a way to reconnect with my grandparents”. The series sees Ronald zoom into old photographs and create a visual diary of  the ageing process of his grandparents through close-ups of their skin. “I realised how much time has passed after looking at their old photos. I wanted to capture the various elements which show their age, and also share some of the family portraits in which you can see the old and new generation.”

Ronald is a final year Visual Effects student at Nanyang Polytechnic, and his series will be showcased at FUSION 2016 which opens 31 March and runs through 2 April.
