Spotted! YingXian. A

“My body of works is assembled on the belief that merging the nuances of art and design would lead to a creation better than the sum of its parts.”

YingXian. A is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at LASALLE, College of the Arts. Her work is monochromatic and inspired by aspects of the natural and the artificial. As with Warhol, the supermarket is her favorite playground, reconfiguration and re-imagination packaging and products with wonderful results.

“I am inspired by nature and modern consumer culture …. quite contrasting but I like both. I also like to merge and compare the nuances between what’s considered natural and artificial. Usually I explore and combine the differences from both and rely on observation and imagination. I am also intrigued by the differences in human behaviors across time periods throughout the progression of society. Some artists that I have high regards for are Nanami Cowdroy and Kiyoshi Kuroda.”
