Kampong, A Travelling Curation + Giveaway

(from the Press Release)

In our constant search for an identity, visual archiving of our history should be reflexive. Our archives should also exist physically instead of simply as a fleeting digital image. Even though space is a big constraint in our over-populated society, Kampong is a travelling exhibition that moves within forgotten communal spaces to share the importance of archiving our history while embracing the possibilities of our future.

With exhibits and artworks on display revolving around the theme “childhood endeavours”, this project aims to craft a path for youths, to inspire them to pursue their aspirations and providing value to society instead of only wooing material wealth and luxury.

We also aim to educate their loved ones to understand and acknowledge the possibility of their dreams.

This non-profit community event also seeks to elevate the status of visual communication and archiving in our community. It is proudly supported by the People’s Association and PassionArts Council with their firm beliefs of bringing creativity to the community.
