Project Plug: Pixel Portrait by Pete Tong

Pixel Portrait is a self-initiated project to document the various people I meet around the world. This project was birthed during my road trip in South India where I met many quirky individuals who were interested in the various electronic gadgets I was carrying. In response, I would sketch their portraits on my phone using this application called Dots. That helped to open up many conversations with the locals in South India. I believe the intention of this project is to portray individual’s character more effectively through pixels. Like a life sketching session, I aim to not only portray some form of realism, but also the unique character of each individual.” – Pete Tong.
