Spotted! Evelyn Kua

Today we swing our spotlight on Evelyn Kua‘s graduation project. Evelyn recently completed her diploma course in Visual Communications and Media Design at Singapore Polytechnic, and aside from branding projects, she also takes an interest in web design and development.

About her project: “Meifu 美福is a small family business in the joss paper and sticks industry. The competition in this industry is very high; therefore, to stand out from the rest of its competitors in Singapore, meifu needs to create its own brand identity. A major threat is the decreasing number of Chinese traditions and culture practiced in this present society. Therefore, targeting and educating the younger generation can not only highlight itself from the rest of the typical neighbourhood stalls, but also ensure that the joss industry does not die out in later years, and also the continuity of Chinese festivals in Singapore.”
