Currently studying General Fine Arts with a Photography Concentration at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Ivan Ng is primarily a painter. A flip through his portfolio however will also show off his interest in photography. Click here to have a proper look at his projects.
Ivan says: “I have been painting representationally for most of my artistic training so far, but recently I branched out into abstract painting. Colour is a major focus in my abstract paintings, I am particularly interested its use in visual depth manipulation. My palette is going through a muted pastel colours phase. My inspiration generally comes from music and retrospection. In my photography work, I have an interest in social and gender themes and the construction of open-ended narratives.”
