Today we take a little peek at a photography project by 21-year-old Hyu Lim Hengyu. Hyu likes to turn his lens on people with the intention to restore the faith in humanity and to remind us that sometimes love does last.
“I started out when I was fourteen. Back then that interest only revolved around simply taking photographs and documenting my life with no clear intentions. A simple click of the shutter got me excited and soon I found myself committed to the art of photography. This passion then sparked something bigger. I wanted to photograph and capture the essence of people and places; portraits of people, strangers on the street and places with such gratifying sights I just felt I had to document and share. Sometimes I just photograph striking and purely aesthetic scenes, mainly people in their most uncalled-for moments, accentuating the rawness and purity of that moment.”
