“Like a person who jots down his daily ongoing in a journal, I document my own experiences by literally drawing them out on paper. When the present does not seem all too appealing, I like to retreat back to my past. There has always been this fixation in me to preserve my memories and the act of drawing is a means for me to do just that. Despite my fixation with conserving memories, my work also recognizes its fragility and temporality. Memory is my platform in which I build upon using ideas and notions of remembering and forgetting. My art making is a discovery of what memories are worth keeping and what should be left to fade into oblivion.”
