Old-fashioned living by James Teo

This Monday morning, product label Neighbourgoods delights us with the smell of Good Sweat,  a project celebrating the spirit of those who persist -however humble or challenging their job may be- in perfecting their craft. The project is also an old-fashioned reminder that what matters is not the scale of the work or its reward, but to take care and to take pride in whatever you do.

For their second project, Neighbourgoods founder James Teo (ampulets) invited four creative individuals whom he admires and respects to share with you what is worth their good sweat; Bob Lee (aka the Fat Farmer or Jiuhukia), Rebecca Toh (founder of Casual Poet), Jackson Tan (co-founder of Black Design) and Yah-Leng Yu (co-founder of Foreign Policy Design Group). Click on the link below each image to learn about the creative juices that were blown into each design.

Each hanky is available for S$30, or S$28 (1 set of 5 at S$140) if you pre-order and collect at the launch event on 29 November. To (pre-) order, write to Profits will go to a charity. In good faith and in the spirit of Good Sweat, an advance has been made to the Chen Su Lan Methodist children’s Home to support their arts enrichment programmes.
