The Sam Willows set to release EP

Album Artwork by Jon Chan.

Joy, joy and more joy for the The Sam Willows fans this morning in the form of an EP which will be launched on 27th October at TAB.

Yeah sure everyone’s seen them perform, some of us have watched their video over and over, but in the unlikely event that you would be unfamiliar with the band, here is a copy/paste from the about section on their site: “The Sam Willows is a celebration of life, a melting pot of sounds from dirty blues to gospel-funk, pop-rock to indie-folk, and random images of cats. Born out of a need to make unadulterated, unbound music, the quartet of Narelle, Ben, Jon and Sandra dug up various soundbites of their eclectic music history, forging their own path into the aural atmosphere whilst managing to be only slightly confused. Drawing inspiration from acts like Mumford & Sons, Bon Iver, Joss Stone and Jack White, they craft a sound that bleeds for everyone; the starving, artist, the sedentary soldier. They recognize the rabid power of music and the shame of pigeonholing, and promise to, with all their might, tear down the walls of disparity among love and art.”

Get ready for the EP launch on 27th October at TAB, and pick up your tickets from Ticketmash. BTW, Charlie Lim and ShiGGa★Shay will be performing on stage with the band.
