Tribal Gathering of Jaw Benders Ticket Giveaway

The Substation is gearing up for a great end to 2011, and to celebrate, they have lined-up an epic music festival in Armenian Street.  They have booked the best musicians, bands and sound artists Singapore has to offer, and roped in The Peranakan Museum and 7KICKSTART too.

Tribal Gathering of Jaw Benders will kick off at 2pm on Saturday 17 December with the Gagging Sessions, and conclude at 2am on Sunday with awesome musical performances.

Between 2 and 6pm, The Substation Theatre and the balcony on the third floor will host a number of emerging musicians and bands performing original works as part of the Gagging Sessions. Artists confirmed for the Gagging Sessions include a triple set by Max Lane, Deon The Band, Narisa Chan, and ANECHOIS, among others. There will also be a performance art by the SPAM collective. Admission to all venues will be free.

Main performances will kick off in The Substation Theatre at 7pm. The bands confirmed for this stellar performance include Akta Angkasa, Atman, Caracal, Cesspit, circuitrip, Cyril Wong, Marilyns, NAZ, Riduan Zalani, Red Over Darjeeling, Trip Circle, The Analog Girl and The Lost Hat. Admission: $20.

Outside on the balcony, onlookers will be able to catch performances by sound artists and electronic musicians for free. SPAM will continue the performance art in The Substation Gallery and in the alley. The Peranakan Museum will be open late until 11pm, and will also have a booth set up in the alley. There will also be open mic event at 7KICKstart across the road, and there will be be food and drinks stalls in the alley.

Tribal Gathering of Jaw Benders is the first of what is going to be a huge annual festival in Armenian Street. Be there!
