Forgiefan by Nicholas Chim

Singer-songwriter Nicholas Chim has been performing with his guitar, since 1999. Having played to regional audiences in countries such as Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia – both solo and with backing musicians – Nicholas’ brand of indie folk music has proven to be heartfelt, contemporary and inspiring all at once.

His evolutionary journey of indie  music is expressed in his second album “Forgiefan” – a record that is both classic and contemporary, highlighted by Chim’s haunting vocals along with guitar chords that are lucid yet dreamy.

Nicholas about his album: “This journey through emotional introspection is the journal of a young man, and of love: the love of a woman, the love of his guitar, and the love of music.”

You can download the album here, but I suggest you make the extra effort to get a hardcopy, solely for the beautiful artwork created by Kristal Raelene Melson. Click on the top image to eagle eye this fantastic illustration.

The album soft launch is set for October 22, 9pm at The Pigeonhole with opening act Monster Cat. Cover charge of $15 will help raise funds for both bands’ trip to perform at the Japan Music Week in November.
