Spotted! Ray Pang

Ray Pang‘s passion for film grew at age 18 when he was studying for a diploma in Interactive Media Design at the Temasek Design School. He excelled in his filmmaking course and was awarded “The Shooting Gallery Prize” for his final year short film, “Connection”, which was screened at *SCAPE youth parkʼs “STORYBOARDʼ08”.

During 2006-2008, while serving his national service, he successfully obtained grants from the Singapore Film Commission to make a short film, and also spearheaded an Incubator program with Temasek Polytechnic to pave the way for filmmaking students. Later the short film “ONE” was invited to screen at PLUSSIXFIVE, London.

“I have produced seven films, three of which were official selections, and two won a Best Film Accolade. My latest film “BREAK” received a Gold Remi Award at the 44th Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festiva, Award Of Excellence and Best Actor (student) at the Los Angeles Movie Awards 2011.

Ray recently obtained a Bachelor in Film & Television (FTV) from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. ” I’m an optimist, I believe where there is a will, there is a way. I am currently looking for a job to further improve my storytelling craft.”
