Spotted! Tze Goh

Tze Goh was born and raised in Singapore. Out of restrictive boredom whilst in the army, he turned to fashion design. After discharge, he took the opportunity of freedom to study and travel around the world, looking at fashion, people, products and buildings. After graduation from Parsons School of Design in New York with a BFA in fashion design, Tze made extensive trips to Japan to study the architecture of Tadao Ando. He finally settled in London to take up the MA fashion course at Central St. Martins School of Art and Design.

Tze Goh describes the inspiration behind his AW2011 collection as follows: “The collection looks to express the purity of design, through architecture forms and the colour white in varying shades. Innovative textile technique of bonding jersey after the shapes are cut facilitates the garments’ immaculate finishings. Hidden seams are used to maintain the integrity of design. Advanced tailoring techniques are then used to create lapels and sleeves that fold into jet-pockets to bridge the elements of fashion and architecture.”
