Spotted! Neo Kae Yuan

18-year-old Neo Kae Yuan has spent almost one third of his life in the Art Elective Programme. “I transferred out of the Anglo Chinese School (Independent) under an Art Elective Scholarship to join the Hwa Chong Institution,” he clarifies. “Although I have always taken art as a subject, photography is entirely new to me –  I don’t even own a camera. I touched a DSLR for the first time last year.”

“As you can see, I dabble with many themes and techniques, as I easily get bored with routine. However, a couple of months ago a friend of mine encouraged me to take up the 365 Days Project, and it is a great experience. I have done things I thought I’d never do, such as going to the back of the garbage house to get a shot of the hidden trash.  I would love to embark on a 100 Strangers Project after my A levels. I just need to muster the courage to do so.”
