Born in Little India, schooled as an ACS boy, and eventually graduating with a diploma in Visual Communication in 2006 from Temasek Polytechnic, Randy Yeo moved to London in 2008 to pursue a degree in Typography at the London College of Communication. “I have an ardent interest in typography and the role it plays in the organisation of information and communication of ideas,” he adds. “I believe all good typography is modernist; best viewed though a wine glass, and not a crystal goblet.”

Randy is currently taking a year out from college to undertake industry placements and various collaborations. “I am now at Bunch‘s London office, and I also had a five month stint at Bark Design.”

About the featured work: “I did the identity and collateral for Gallery Provocations—a new gallery space at the London College of Communication aimed to showcase performances, installations and exhibitions relating to media and design. 01—04 was the first series of events held at the gallery. Subject matter included an installation and talk by D–Fuse, as well as the Big Conversation between Grayson Perry and Martin Parr.”

Last year, Randy was part of the “May I Have Your Attention” exhibition at the LCC Atrium Gallery, and the “Modern Thoughts” exhibition at Acquire Arts. His work has been featured in Font: Classic Typefaces for Contemporary Graphic Design and Graphic Design School.
