Below: Collab between Sdmn and clogtwo.
Sandman -aka Sdmn- started painting graff a decade ago, and has since spawned a big following both locally and internationally. Over the years, he has become a rather proficient urban artist, and has worked in a variety of mediums, although spray-paint remains his first choice.
His works -often dubbed as freaky, but in a good way- have become familiar aspects of Singapore’s back alleys and laneways. Sandman represents ZincNite Crew and Phobia Klik, and co-founded the Art School Rejexts, a local lowbrow art movement collective.
About his work: “My current work is based on a future where life as we know it has ceased to exist. The juxtaposition of this futuristic subject and deteriorating building walls highlights the tension between technological advancement and the commodities it leaves behind.”

Pameran Poskad is a group exhibition of postcard sized artworks that is open to anyone and everyone that would like to participate. The participants come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are highly established and internationally recognized professional artists; others are students, engineers, house wives and even little children.
This exhibition is an attempt to encourage creative production from amateur artists and provide them an exhibition space. The size restriction is also a deliberate choice to keep the artworks small, thereby limiting the price range allowing the everyday consumer to purchase an original piece of art.
To participate, all you need to do is complete an application form and pay an entry fee of SGD $35. Participants can submit up to 10 artworks with the only restriction being that it must fit into the provided 12 x 18 cm sleeve. The artists can set their own price and receive 100% of the sales revenue.
This exhibition is organized by Keyakismos, Cris Mora, and ampulets.

I only just discovered the work of Fadli Rahman, an 18-year-old photographer who is currently taking Fashion Communication at Lasalle College Of The Arts. Fadli started doing fashion photography eight months ago, and already contributed to numerous editorials for Mens Folio Singapore, Swank Glossy Indonesia and the Toni & Guy London Book 2010. His favorite quote: If you want be on top, welcome to the bottom. “That’s how things started for me,” he adds, “but I’m still far away from the top.”
Fadli’s style is a combination of soft colors and provoking wardrobes. “I am constantly searching for new creative solutions for every shoot, be it the wardrobe, the location, even the accessories. All these elements play an important role in portraying the feeling and mood I want to set for each photo. Also, I don’t just create a nice photo, to me there is no such thing. Creating a story behind every shoot is far more important.”
