Spotted! Nguan

Nguan attended Northwestern University in Illinois, where he studied film. He now shoots photos about big city yearning, emotional globalization and faces seen once before being lost forever in a crowd. His work has been featured in Arkitip, Vice Magazine’s annual Photo Issue, and CANDY magazine.

After over a decade in the U.S., Nguan is now back home and is working on a series of Singapore photos. “It will be a combination of landscapes and portraits. My intention is to depict Singapore as a wistful, dreamy, somewhat magical place. Hopefully that doesn’t seem too far fetched. I know some people might say it sounds like I’m working on a piece of science fiction!”

His collection of Tokyo street photographs will be put together in a book  titled “Shibuya Odyssey”early next year.
