The 6th intake graduating class of SIM-RMIT University’s Bachelor of Design, Communication Design (BDCD) will host ‘An “Oddinary” Exhibition’, an international art exhibition which is a culmination of their degree program. This exhibition will showcase the students’ finest creative work, and will also feature an array of guest contributions by international designers.
The organizers explain, “The ‘Oddinary’ Exhibition aims to transcend the ordinary and celebrate the limitless possibilities of creativity, through a gallery of ‘Ordinary’ boxes made ‘Extraordinary’ – the students and guest artists have been invited to lend their creative touches to a simple white box – turning the ordinary into the unusual.”
“The exhibition celebrates quirkiness and fun, daring to be different and in doing so, will challenge our traditional boundaries and perceptions of art and design. The students feel that these attributes are essential in maintaining high standards and good quality of design.”
27 and 28 June, 11.00am to 9.00pm at the SG Private Banking Gallery, Alliance Française de Singapour (Map).
