Dance Production: Enter #1773

Dance Horizon Troupe (Singapore) returns to dance up a storm with a contemporary performance titled, Enter #1773. Conceptualized by upcoming choreographer Liz Fong, guest dancers Verity Jacobson (Australia) and Ding Qirui (China), come together with Dance Horizon’s resident dancers, to explore the human character in the personal, political and social setting of Enter #1773.

“The production brings in a fascinating interplay of relationship among a few individuals in their mundane life of work and entertainment. The contradicting yet harmonious display of personalities paints a relatively poignant but realistic picture of societal survival in a lighthearted tone. A concoction of human force, vocalization and gesture brought to light with the physicalization of an innate subconscious relationship with the objects surrounding us. A visionary testament of the human condition.”

    TheatreWorks presents RESERVOIR, which investigates one of the lesser-known heritage sites of Singapore, the ruins of the Syonan Jinja. RESERVOIR is devised based on our curiosity as young Singaporean and Japanese artists towards this historical site. Unearthing forgotten myths and stories, we attempt to construct conversations about the shrine. Together, we re-visit the shrine in search of the remains and its forgotten voices.     Librations of the Moon is a collaboration between three musicians -Zulkifle Mahmod aka GEDMB, Darren Ng aka SONICBRAT and Randolf Arriola aka THE EMBRYO- seeking to explore the boundaries of their own craft.     House's latest adoptee is 20-year-old Malvina Tan, a mixed-media talent specializing in art installation, video art and sound, live performance and creative direction. As part of her adoption, Malvina will interpret the House compound as a personal canvas, planting 8 isolated installations around the theme of 'space'.     This solo exhibition by Foon Foono will feature selected works by Foon which he has been producing for the past several years. The audience will be offered visual delight through Foon’s work which is very compelling, dark and yet sexy. The subject matter of Foon’s work resolves around the many facets of human characteristics in their vulnerability and fragility. For those who are familiar with Foon’s works, in this exhibition we can see his consistence in presenting bunny-eared and red-nosed human characters in his works.     This is an event collaboration between Silentt and Mecha Klik Squad, where they experiment with light drawings. All guests are advised to bring their own light source like glow sticks, torches or a pointer to participate in this project.
