Spotted! Manda The Panda
THE ART
Baby in Green is one of Amanda Ang’s first digital illustrations rendered in photoshop. ‘I had intended to do a piece with minimal colours, gently accentuating the illustration’ Manda explains. ‘I love drawing girls and this was good practice for a start. It was inspired by a song from the now defunct band, Agnes Gooch … “she likes dirt, dirt dont hurt, too much. She sees me, at eighteen, baby in green, she likes the way I sing to her …”
THE ARTIST

Amanda Ang a.k.a *manda, and also affectionately known as Manda the Panda, is a typical Chinese Singaporean girl who still dreams of having supernatural powers one day even at the age of 22. ‘I love processed food, hugging little animals, family, her hero, smiles and boisterous laughter. I am inspired by people, things, thoughts, and especially music. I am always in experimentation mode, hoping to one day inspire people as well as bringing my art into the streets.’
Spotted! is a digest of fly work by fresh off creatives.
