The Dada Record: Zxerokool

Hello, I’m Jonathan and I operate my own design studio ZXEROKOOL. I handle design and illustration work for clients in the publishing, advertising, entertainment and finance industries. In my spare time I work on my own t-shirt label and fiddle with personal art and design projects. You may have seen my work in the recent Tiger Beer Translate ‘Merge’ book, FiRST Movie Magazine, or on the cover of the upcoming edition of FL.ag magazine. Besides my design work I love to indulge in green tea, air-conditioning, movies and comic books.

My musical taste is as constant as the strength of a wireless Internet connection. Other than below tracks, I really dig cool soundtracks …
Gravity’s rainbow by Klaxons
I recently developed a keen ear for this track. It really punches high in all the right places.
Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears
Soundtrack from the classic cult film Donnie Darko. I especially like the dream-like quality of this song.
Elevator Beat by Nancy Wilson
This track from Cameron Crowe’s Vanilla Sky movie is a really soothing and relaxing piece.
Banquet by Bloc Party
Really gets me going when I have to meet tight deadlines. Very suitable for those days when you have to torpedo through a sea of work.
4 in the morning by Gwen Stefani
Fantasy + beats + a purring Gwen Stefani = Magic.
Every Wednesday, Culturepush presents The Dada Record, a weekly post for artists to share the music that gets their creative juices flowing.
