Ku Tiada Minta Lahir Di Dunia (Not My Request to be in this World) by Ismail Haron.
One title where you can place Heidegger and a Malay pop sensation from the past together. Originally released in 1969, the accompanying crackles & hisses are just part of Saf’s fetish for vignetted sounds of despair.

In A Manner of Speaking by Nouvelle Vague
Saf says words are insufficient. This remake with a great twist of Parisian chic is perfect for unwinding, sulking and ending the day with.

Tied Up Too Tight by Hard-Fi
This is a perk-me-up, Kallang-wave camaraderie song of the moment. One of the singles from Hard-Fi excellent debut album, Stars Of CCTV. It’s fast infectious rhythm and that NA-NA-NA-NA chorus stayed affix on Norman for one spirited week.

Corners by The Sea And Cake
A track with a rare quality which makes Nadia glide with spiritual joy.

Riot For Madam Chia by Force Vomit
Yazer’s penchant for random and whimsical drift. A perfect track for non sequitur connections of ideas. He dedicates it to all his friends that are now teachers.

Every Wednesday, Culturepush presents The Dada Record, a weekly post for artists to share the music that gets their creative juices flowing.
