Argentum: Designs for Individual Abuse

Argentum Ring

Argentum is a small jewelry line designed by the ridiculously talented Shing Lee. Her designs simultaneously evoke edgy chic and rebellion and are easy to wear casually or formally. Shing’s main medium is silver, but do not think it’s your usual shiny white metal. The patinas range from matte white to ash grey. Other materials include rubber, lace, leather, mesh and bone. Her creations are driven by a search for beauty in darkness like taking a walk in the cemetery for example. If you are beyond the stereotype about diamonds being a girl’s best friend, you will totally dig her work.

You can pant over Shing’s current and past collections on her website. Oh, and tell your boyfriend to keep his hands out of your jewelry box as her pieces have a unisex appeal. Be warned!

Shing’s jewelry is available from L’Artichaut and from BlackJack at Forum, The Shopping Mall.
