Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors
This production tells the story of two sets of identical twins separated as infants who, even more confusingly, share the same names. Unaware of their mutual existence, they occupy the same town by chance and miss each other by seconds. As the play unfolds, mistaken identity leads to hilarious misadventure. This farcical tangle of events leads to unwarranted beatings, arrests, and allegations of infidelity, theft, insanity, and devilish possession. Lives hang in the balance until all is resolved and coincidences collide in this frantically-paced farce that is as funny today as it ever was. Performed by Second Year Actors from LASALLE’s BA (Hons) Acting programme, all ends happily in this scintillating production. 19-22 March at The Arts House Play Den.
